COFFEE TIME AT FGPThere are ongoing issues with Coffee Time at Forest Glen – Specifically washroom access, which is “Out of Service” to certain drivers. The Health Protection and Promotion Act, R.R.O. 1990 Regulation 562, Food Premises, specifically Part IV section 68 (6) states that “Access doors to sanitary facilities and toilet cubicles shall not be locked...” Some of our driver’s have been denied access to this washroom as well as verbally attacked by the owner of this coffee time. Those who drive routes 33 and 26 who do not have any access to any other washroom facility are particularly affected. Management has approached this owner, even offering money to allow all of our drivers to use his facilities. He denies there is any issue, refuses to accept any money, claims all of our drivers are welcome – Yet he still continues denying access and verbally attacking certain drivers. If you have had any washroom issues at this Coffee Time, including having to wait for someone to give you a key to gain access to this washroom, please cut and paste this [form letter] into word and email it to the person whom it is addressed. Or print a copy, fill it out and mail it. This refusal to allow free access to every member of the public is in violation of the Health Protection and Promotion Act. |
